Tara Schraga (tschraga@usgs.gov) is a biological oceanographer who began work at the USGS in 1997. She has a BA degree in environmental studies from Brandeis University (1990) and an MS in oceanography from the University of Rhode Island (1996). Tara leads field and laboratory investigations of water quality variability in the San Francisco Bay and Sacramento-San Joaquin River Delta. Presently she is also studying phytoplankton productivity in the decommissioned salt ponds of South San Francisco Bay.
