These images are meant to give a GENERAL idea of the spatial distribution of these parameters in San Francisco Bay. Bear in mind that the data used to produce these images were taken over the course of several hours, and are therefore affected by tides, weather conditions, and other environmental factors that may not be immediately apparent.

Codes in selection box indicate approximate extent of data collection for each cruise: F = Full Bay Cruise S = South Bay Cruise N = North Bay Cruise

The color images are produced by interpolating (estimating) values between the measurement points. Each image is based on about 400 measurements, and these interpolated images are produced and displayed with GMT software.
