Sedimentation Changes in San Pablo Bay 1856 - 1983

San Pablo Bay continued to fill with sediment. A volume of 40 million cubic meters (about 2 million cubic meters a year on average) was deposited in San Pablo Bay. Channel filling continued at a slowed rate. The main channel deepened. Tidal mudflat area decreased slightly.
